DetailsThis vest was upcycled using a soft flowy skirt and a red cotton material to the sides. I also added 2 denim pockets to the front.
The Philippine bird design I added on the back is hand painted the three stars and sun were originally a symbol of the Katipuneros fighting for the independence of the country.
The three stars signify the three principal islands of the archipelago during the time the flag was first flown. I also added 4 different vintage buttons to the front.
